"It's widely understood that unconditional love is reserved for a child" And so the story begins。。。I just finished reading "Every Little Secret"， by Sarah Clarke。 Thank You to Net Galley and Harper Collins for a free copy in return for an honest review。This book is absolutely amazing。 What a wonderful adventure， gripping tale of motherly love how secrets and lies keep important truths from becoming revealed。This is a story about a woman named Grace who is married to Marcus。 They have a child nam "It's widely understood that unconditional love is reserved for a child" And so the story begins。。。I just finished reading "Every Little Secret"， by Sarah Clarke。 Thank You to Net Galley and Harper Collins for a free copy in return for an honest review。This book is absolutely amazing。 What a wonderful adventure， gripping tale of motherly love how secrets and lies keep important truths from becoming revealed。This is a story about a woman named Grace who is married to Marcus。 They have a child named Kaia。 When Kaia is Seven， she begins making horrible accusations about her father which leads Grace down a difficult path of trying to protect her daughter and finding out the truth。What follows is a trip into the past and her relationship with her best friend Coco and her brother Josh。 The past and the present collide in spectaculr way， and all the lies are uncovered to reveal surprising truths。In the end， the reader is left feeling like they just got off the best rollercoaster ride of their life。I was fascinated with the back story of Grace and her friend Coco， as well as the story of Marcus and his frind Josh。 Excellent writing and pacing kept thi story moving along at a breakneck speed and I enjoyed every minute of it。Small hints of the truth were enough to keep me reading to the end。。and what an ending it was。 This is a great book because it is highly entertaining， with great characters and drama。 Your next favourite book for sure。Happy Reading！ 。。。more

I just start with that this was the first book I have read by this author and my review would not put my off reading any more of her novels。 Grace Is a mother who loves her husband and her daughter so who does she believe when Kaia starts to say her dad is hurting her？？ I enjoyed the story but felt there was a lot missing from Marcus’ story and an opportunity to see how his side of things happened。 I was concerned that the hospital， school did nothing sooner about Kaias revelations。 However I di I just start with that this was the first book I have read by this author and my review would not put my off reading any more of her novels。 Grace Is a mother who loves her husband and her daughter so who does she believe when Kaia starts to say her dad is hurting her？？ I enjoyed the story but felt there was a lot missing from Marcus’ story and an opportunity to see how his side of things happened。 I was concerned that the hospital， school did nothing sooner about Kaias revelations。 However I did not predict the ending and the last 20% I couldn’t put down as I was intrigued with how the story was evolving。 Enjoyable read with good length of chapters and excellent writing。 。。。more

My thanks to NetGalley and publisher HQ for the electronic copy。I rather enjoyed this suspense thriller。 It's well-written with some good characters and believable dialogue which moves the story along from a benign start into depths of mistrust; there's way more than one little secret at play here！Grace and her brother Josh come from a monied family and were sent away to separate boarding schools， so were never really close。 Josh is now a Professor of psychology in America。 Marcus was a scholars My thanks to NetGalley and publisher HQ for the electronic copy。I rather enjoyed this suspense thriller。 It's well-written with some good characters and believable dialogue which moves the story along from a benign start into depths of mistrust; there's way more than one little secret at play here！Grace and her brother Josh come from a monied family and were sent away to separate boarding schools， so were never really close。 Josh is now a Professor of psychology in America。 Marcus was a scholarship boy， whose talent on the Rugby field gets him to the same "posh" school as Josh and， although he and Josh become friends， Marcus gradually comes to hate him。 In the Summer of 2005 Marcus spends a lot of time with Josh at his home， together with Grace and her best friend， Coco; she goes on to become a globe-trotting party girl living off her rich parents' money and she and Grace lose touch。Now， Grace and Marcus have been married for 14 years and have a 7yr-old daughter Kaia。 Seven years previously Marcus's career with the New Zealand All Blacks ended in injury; they moved back to near London and he's struggling to get his sports marketing agency off the ground。 Grace illustrates children's books。Told from the main characters' points of view the narrative brings the past into the present。 Because the past is full of secrets， and Grace and Marcus， along with Grace's parents， share the biggest one of all。Following an accident where Kaia falls out of a tree， Kaia starts to make accusations against Marcus， her behaviour at school deteriorates， and Grace is forced to consider getting Kaia a therapist， BUT。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 that could lead to their secret no longer being safe。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 she has to protect Kaia。 Marcus is in despair trying to defend himself and their marriage is splintering。 In the absence of Coco， Grace turns to her brother for help - surely he'd be able to offer some insight into Kaia's behaviour？There is only one unconditional love - that of a mother for her child; but it doesn't mean the child will love you in return - does it？There are red-herrings and twists along the way， and a sprinkling of shocks - didn't see some of them coming！ 。。。more

First off， I went to thank NetGalley for sending me this ARC！ I love thrillers and this was a good one！I did not see the twists coming at first， I was about 80% done before I realized what was happening！ It had me feeling a little like I did when I read Gone Girl， completely and utterly unsure of what the hell was going on， conflicted on who to believe， and determined to keep reading to find out！I thought the multiple POVs were a little confusing at first but it all made sense once I kept going！ First off， I went to thank NetGalley for sending me this ARC！ I love thrillers and this was a good one！I did not see the twists coming at first， I was about 80% done before I realized what was happening！ It had me feeling a little like I did when I read Gone Girl， completely and utterly unsure of what the hell was going on， conflicted on who to believe， and determined to keep reading to find out！I thought the multiple POVs were a little confusing at first but it all made sense once I kept going！I hope to read more by Sarah， and I hope she writes another novel that stems from this one！ I must know what happens after that last sentence！When I was maybe 70-80% done with the book， before I even finished it， I went and bought it for my kindle。 I will definitely be recommending this book to my fellow psychological thriller besties！Also the Harry Potter references won me over immediately 。。。more

Every little secret was a book about keeping secrets to protect the people who you love and the consequences of keeping those secrets。 I thought it was a pretty average thriller。 I did like the character development but the twists were pretty predictable。

Read this on Pigeonhole and it grabbed me from the start。 The author provides us with a well-plotted psychological thriller with so many twists and shocks along the way。 We question the actions of the characters， we doubt them， we back them and we argue with them！ We doubt the trust placed in some characters and our suspicions are raised about others。 Who should we trust？ Who is telling the truth？ Why would a child lie？ Is she lying？ Who would I believe？ What would I do？ Exactly what did happen Read this on Pigeonhole and it grabbed me from the start。 The author provides us with a well-plotted psychological thriller with so many twists and shocks along the way。 We question the actions of the characters， we doubt them， we back them and we argue with them！ We doubt the trust placed in some characters and our suspicions are raised about others。 Who should we trust？ Who is telling the truth？ Why would a child lie？ Is she lying？ Who would I believe？ What would I do？ Exactly what did happen when the main characters were teenagers？ What does that mean for the current events？ These are just a few of the questions I had during reading！ I loved finding out the answers to these questions and many more in this enjoyable and compelling read。Another intriguing story from this great storyteller！ 。。。more

I thoroughly enjoyed this book。 The characters were nicely flawed and the plot was not predictable， if a little contrived at times。 I was definitely unable to put it down， and while I read courtesy of the Pigeonhole， which releases the book in instalments， I started late and fortunately did not have to wait for a daily fix。
